Mr. John
A. Brooks, Chairman, Board of Directors
Port
Authority of
Heinz 57
Center

RE:
Dear Mr.
Brooks:
Under the
terms of the
< http://www.portauthority.org/grow/pgboardPolicy.asp
>], I hereby
request that I be scheduled to speak to the Port Authority Board at the Board
meeting scheduled to be held on 2004 June 25 at 9: 30 a.m.
I will be
representing myself, and my own opinions, during this presentation. No one will
accompany me to this presentation. My addresses and telephone number are located
at the beginning of this letter.
The issue
I intend to address at this meeting will be my response to the May 18 letter [copied
to all members of the Port Authority Board of Directors] I received from Port
Authority Chief Executive Officer Paul P. Skoutelas, which provided a rationale
for maintaining a policy which will result in the complete waste of two million
dollars of taxpayer money; please note that the potential waste of two million
dollars of taxpayer money was never addressed in his letter. Since the Port
Authority Board of Directors did not make a decision, or officially react in
any way, to my statement of April 23, I assume my concerns are still under
consideration by the Board
I
understand that this request must be received by you at least two weeks prior
to the Board meeting, when I request to speak. This letter will be mailed on
June 9, for arrival in your office on June 10, which should satisfy this
requirement.
I
understand that I will be provided up to ten minutes for my presentation before
the Board of Directors of the Port Authority of Allegheny County.
Sincerely
yours,
Glenn A.
Walsh
